Introduction and Overview
The Annapurna base camp trekking is an amazing walk through diverse landscape with culture complete and rich mountain vistas, rice terraced fields and a wide variety of flora and fauna. Annapurna (8091m) is the 10th highest mountain in the world. We hike up to base camp, which is at the altutude of 4130m height. It is one of the most popular trekking trail in the world. Annapurna Base Camp trekking starts and ends from Pokhara which is 200km west part from Kathmandu city. The Annapurna Base Camp is spreader from Tatopani through Ghorepani and Tadapani by joining the main Sanctuary trail at Chhomrong. The trek involves several ascents and descents but not so hard to attempt as there are several alternative routes to the Sanctuary, all meeting at Chhomrong.
Annapurna Base Camp trails is also famous for trekkers because of the principal peaks of the western portion of the great Annapurna Himal, including Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna, Ganagapurna, Annapurna III and Machhapuchhare, are arranged almost precisely in a circle about 10 miles in diameter with a deep glacier-covered amphitheater at the center. From this glacier basin, known as the Annapurna Sanctuary, the Modi Khola knifes its way south in a narrow gorge fully 12,000 ft. deep. Further south, the gorge opens up into a wide and fertile valley, the domain of the Gurungs. The middle and upper portions of Modi Khola offer some of the best short trekking in Nepal, and the valley is located so that these trek can be easily combined into the Kali Gandaki region to the west. We believed after successful this great Annapurna Base Camp trip, you will have increadible memory foreaver about Nepal, Nepalese culture, tradition and innocent people.
