If you are traveling for trekking, tour or holiday trip to Nepal, Need to get Nepal visa. So geting visa easiest way to obtain at the Tribhuwan International Airport upon your arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal or immigration entry point, if you are entering through the border of India or China, Tibet.
Here is few countries namely Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Somalia, Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Liberia, Palestine, Swaziland, Iraq, Ethiopia People from these countries do not get arrival visa from the immigration entry points of Nepal Border.
What do you need to obtain Nepal visa?
If you are thinking of get visa at the airport or from the border immigration entry point, here is some requirements, need to complete:
Valid passport (The passport should have validity of at least six months)
You should fill the application form for visa available at the immigration entry points or airport. Please follow these simple procedures for Tourist Visa on Arrival at the airport (TIA)
2 passport size photographs
Visa fees, should be paid in cash (Rupees or Dollar).
Entry points to Nepal
Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu
1) Northern Border – Kodari, Sindhupalchowk
2) Western – Rupandehi Bhairahawa
3) Eastern Nepal – Kakarvitta, Jhapa
4) Central Nepal – Birjung, Parsa
5) Mid-western – Banke, Nepalgunj
Visa Fees
1) 15 Days visa, USD 25 or equivalent currency.
2) 30 Days visa, USD 40 or equivalent currency.
3) 90 Days visa, USD 100 or equivalent currency.
For the tourist of South Asian Country (SAARC), free visa up to 30 days.
For Indian People, no Visa required. But if they enter Nepal via air, they must show a valid identification certificate like passport/ citizenship certificate and children under the age of 10 do not need to show identification certificate.
Visa Extension
If you need to extend visa for 15 days or less, visa extension charge is USD 30 or equivalent currency
If you need to extend the visa for more than 15 days, USD 2 will be charged every day up to 15 days. However, the visa can be extended maximum up to 150 days in a visa year (Visa year refers to year starting January to December.)
Officials from China, Brazil, Russia and Thailand do not need Entry Visa based on reciprocal visa waiver Agreement
