Phuentsholing Thimphu Punakha and Paro Tour is one of the best and adventure tour package which is specially design for our guest who want to explore Bhutan by overland from Nepal or Indian border side. The trip begains the commercial city Phuentsholing and visit other part of Bhutan including Thimphu, Punakha, Paro, Gangtey Phobjikha, Trongsa, Bumthang and Trashigang. In these townships you can really discover the spirit of the Bhutanese, as well as visit numerous sacred sites like Dzongs, temples, monasteries, farmhouses and museums.

Day to day Itinerary

  • Arrival in Phuentsholing

    Our representative will meet you at the border Bhutan-India, check point in Phuentsholing. We will assist you with the visa formalities and drop you off at your hotel. Phuentsholing is the administrative seat of Chukha District of Bhutan. You will be transferred to Phuentsholing. On the other side the Indian city called Jaigaon.
  • Phuentsholing to Thimphu 6 hours Drive

    After breakfast at hotel we leave the border town for Thimpu, capital of Bhutan. We will enjoy the amazing landscape that Bhutan has to offer on the way and also encounter a few waterfalls which provide a photo opportunity for nature lovers.
  • Thimphu City Tour

    Early morning, we will visit Memorial Chorten, nunnery temple, mini zoo to see Takin, the national animal of Bhutan. We also visit other landmarks of Thimphu including the National Institute of Traditional Medicine, Bhutanese traditional painting school, folk heritage museum, the majestic Tashichho Dzong and the traditional paper factory. However, some of the landmarks are closed in the weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). Therefore, if we are in Thimphu during the weekends, we explore the Weekend Market instead.
  • Thimphu to Punakha Tour

    Breakfast in the morning we then drive to Punakha via Dochu La Pass, where on a clear day we get spectacular views of the mountains. We then drive downhill through rhododendron, fir and hemlock forests. On the way, we visit Chimi Lhakhang, a fertility temple dedicated to the Divine Madman or Lama Drukpa Kuenley. After reaching Punakha, we also visit Punakha Dzong which was built between 1637-1638 and is the second oldest and the second largest dzong in Bhutan.
  • Punakha to Paro

    We drive to Paro via Dochu La pass after breakfast at hotel. And we will visit the new Druk Wangyal Monastery. With elaborate paintings depicting the lineage of the present monarchy and their visionary works, the Druk Wangyal Monastery is the only one of its kind in the country. After the tour of the monastery, we continue our drive with a stop in Thimphu for lunch.
  • Climb to famous Tiger's Nest Monastery

    Breakfast at hotel in the morning, we then hike for 3 to 4 hours to Tiger's Nest (Taktsang Monastery), which is Bhutan's most famous monastery at the altitude of 3180 meters. Guru Rinpoche said to have flown on the back of a tigress to meditate in a cave where Taktsang Monastery now stands. After that we get down to the valley floor and return back to Paro.
  • Departure Paro

    We will fly back to Home or other distination today so we drive to Paro airport 3 hours before of your flight with the beautiful memory of Bhutan.
